That’s where you come in. In Long Live the Captain, you’ll bluff, bribe, and betray your way to the top in a ruthless battle for command of the ship.
 

Each round begins with an event that twists the rules of the game; a storm, a mutiny, or a mysterious discovery that changes everything. Players receive resources like gold, silk, or gunpowder, and then reveal a lineup of pirate cards, each one waiting to see who makes the most tempting offer.
 

Before bribes are placed, the deck becomes a marketplace of negotiation, deception, and dirty trading. Deals are whispered, promises are made (and often broken), and fortunes shift with every smirk and glance. You can trade resources, forge alliances, or even bluff your way through impossible bargains.
 

When the bribe phase begins, players secretly prepare piles of treasures and trinkets to win specific pirates to their side. The catch? Not everything in your pile is what it seems. Fake cards, hidden traps, or a touch of poison can turn the tides. Once all bribes are revealed, pirates choose which captain-wannabe they’ll follow. Sometimes swayed by clever plays or chaos from the latest event.
 

Round after round, your crew grows. Loyal pirates, cunning saboteurs, and double-dealers all vying to serve the next captain (for now). When the final round ends, the player with the most powerful and influential crew takes command of the ship.
