Refund Policy

Thank you for shopping with HOUF Games!

We want you to love your games as much as we do. This policy explains how returns, replacements, and refunds are handled for purchases made through our website, conventions, and crowdfunding campaigns.

1. Eligibility for Returns

You may request a return or replacement if:

  • The product arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect

  • You received an incomplete order

  • You contacted us within 14 days of receiving your item

To be eligible, your item must be:

  • In its original packaging (where possible)

  • Accompanied by proof of purchase (order number, receipt, or email confirmation)

Please note:
We cannot accept returns for:

  • Opened or used board games, cards, or collectibles (unless faulty)

  • Digital downloads, print-and-play files, or online content

  • Crowdfunding pledges after production has begun, unless damaged or lost in transit
     

2. How to Request a Return or Refund

To start a return, please email info@houfgames.com with:

  • Your full name and order number

  • A brief explanation of the issue

  • Photos of the product and packaging (if applicable)

Our team will review your request and respond within 5 business days with next steps.
 

3. Replacements

If the product is confirmed defective or damaged, we’ll:

  • Send a replacement item at no cost, or

  • Offer a refund if a replacement is unavailable

Replacements are shipped using the same or equivalent service originally used.
 

4. Refunds

Once your return is approved:

  • Refunds are issued to your original payment method

  • Processing typically takes 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or payment provider

If your order was part of a Kickstarter or pre-order campaign, refunds are managed according to the platform’s terms. Once production or shipping has begun, refunds may not be possible except for lost or damaged items.
 

5. Return Shipping
  • If the return is due to our error (e.g., wrong or damaged item), we cover all return shipping costs.

  • If you change your mind about a purchase (where eligible), you may need to pay the return shipping cost.

Please use a tracked shipping method for all returns; we can’t refund items lost in transit.
 

6. Lost or Missing Orders

If your order hasn’t arrived within the estimated delivery window:

  1. Contact us at info@houfgames.com

  2. We’ll investigate with the courier

  3. If confirmed lost, we’ll send a replacement or issue a full refund
     

7. Crowdfunding Orders

Kickstarter and other crowdfunding projects follow slightly different rules:

  • Refunds are available before fulfillment begins, subject to platform terms.

  • Once items are shipped, only replacements (for damaged or lost products) are possible.

  • Address changes must be submitted before fulfillment starts.

We always keep backers informed through official updates and are committed to ensuring everyone receives their rewards.
 

8. Exchanges

We don’t offer direct exchanges. If you wish to receive a different product, please return your original item (if eligible) and place a new order.
